BANGKOK, 9 August 2016 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister Thanasak Patimapakorn assured that a public approval of the draft constitution in Sunday’s referendum will prompt the world community to have confidence in Thailand.

He said he believed the approval of the charter will prompt the world community to have confidence in this country while the government is pursuing its road map while many parties agreed to provide cooperation.

He expressed admiration for anti-charter activists who accepted the decision of the majority voters and would not put pressure on the government to follow the road map.

He said that possibilities of the next general election being postponed would depend on the Constitution Drafting Committee but, he said, such delays would make no serious impact.
