Health package prepared for foreigners seeking health care in Thailand

BANGKOK, 2 August 2016 (NNT) – The Department of Health Service Support has prepared a special health package to accommodate foreigners seeking health care in Thailand.

Health Service Support Department Director General Boonreung Traireungworarat said that the agency has collaborated with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and private hospitals to prepare a special health package to accommodate foreigners from around the world who may seek health care in Thailand where the number has increased by 13 percent per year.

Three types of special health package will be provided, including medical check-ups according to age groups, dental service and infertility treatment with medical reproductive technology.

The health package project in which 70 hospitals and clinics certified by JCI international standards are expected to join, will be launched on September 9, 2016.
